5 Ways to Tie a Scarf
We love scarves! Whether it’s winter, spring, summer or fall, they are the perfect accessory to take jeans and a tee to a stylish statement. Whether you wear it with a business suit, a maxi dress, running to the grocery store or for an evening out. We wanted to share with you some of our favorite, and unexpected, ways to style your scarf! And if you love the scarf in our guide, your in luck! The Gray Fanos Scarf is available in our store AMERICAN NOMAD. It also comes in a great blue color!
1. THE BRAIDED SCARF
Although it looks difficult, the braid is easy to tie. Double up the scarf and wrap it around your neck. Take one end and bring it through the loop, rotate the loop and then bring through the other end.
2. THE LAYERED KNOT
First, put the scarf around your neck so the ends hang in the back. Wrap the ends around to the front and loosen the section of scarf around your neck. Tie the ends together and the pull the loop around your neck over the knot.
3. THE SIMPLE SLIP KNOW
A great go to when you’re in a hurry. Double up your scarf and wrap it around the back of your neck. Slip both ends of the scarf in the loop and loosen, or tighten to your liking.
4. THE HALF BOW CINCH
We love the unexpected shape of the bow cinch and how it adds a little whimsy to your outfit. With the center of the scarf on the back of your neck, wrap the ends around to the front. Tie the ends together and bring one end up in the loop like tying your shoes. Tighten and fluff!
5. THE ROSETTE BELT
As if your scarf doesn’t already multi-task, now it can be a belt! Wrap the scarf around your waist and then twist the two ends together until it starts to curl around itself. Keep twisting and place the twisted sections around in a flower shape. Tuck in the ends, or leave a little fringe out for a little extra decoration.
