Handmade in India in the sprawling urban center of Old Dehli. This area presents economic and social struggle for minorities, lower castes, women and the poor. The co-op's group of nearly 80 artisans delicately bends, etches, beads and polishes jewelry from stones, glass, upcycled metal and wires, seeds, bone and other materials. Since their fair trade partnership began, artisan earnings have doubled, they have upgraded to better workspaces, and children are staying in school longer
Handmade using upcycled wire, copper and glass beads. With every item purchased with us, a tree is planted in partnership with the National Forest Foundation.
Ornate jewelry is a proud cultural tradition in India with every hinting at a deeper story. It has played a pivotal role in highlighting the beauty of the various dance forms popular in India like kuchipudi, kathak or bharatnatyam. Classical dancers performing various dance forms are given an exquisite appearance by embellishing them with sparkling Indian jewelry.
