Nairobi Near & Far Eyeglass Holder
Handmade in Kenya by Agnus, a 26 years old and taught herself to make jewelry several years ago. She used to sell jewelry in Nairobi’s tourist markets but now has a steady, reliable income.
Handmade with recycled glass and hand shaped ceramic beads. With every item purchased with us, a tree is planted in partnership with the National Forest Foundation.
It is believed that beading was first used by Egyptians around 3100 B.C. and is one of the only art forms that has traceable roots to the beginning of mankind. Beaded adornments have long been a mark of beauty and prosperity among the Maasai in Kenya.
