Handcrafted by women in Cambodia, each one provides an alternative source of income for marginalized women, and lessen the likelihood that these women will be re-victimized or become victims of Commercial Sexual Exploitation or Trafficking. While international recognition of the issue and efforts to prosecute sex tourism have grown in recent years, sexual slavery is still pervasive in Cambodia.
Handmade using repurposed cement bags. With every item purchased with us, a tree is planted in partnership with the National Forest Foundation.
The messenger bag is universally credited to the De Martini Globe Canvas company. In the 1950s, they started producing a satchel specifically designed for telephone linemen to be able to access their tools while high on a telephone pole. They’ve been donned by Roman legionnaires to army medics to electronic repairmen.
